POP-UP WORKSHOPS

Pop-up workshops are shorter, last-minute workshops. Usually they involve less individual feedback and more visiting students than the ongoing workshops. They are designed to give a taste of the recurring workshop experience to new students, usually with a pay-what-you-can tuition. Existing and former students are always welcome. Pop-ups coming soon include:

Songspotting
We will discuss classic stories or events that could be musicalized, prepare outlines with possible song titles, and return the following week to present a musical pitch to the class.

Opening Number Bootcamp
We will all work on an opening number for the same musical prompt, covering different types such as large company, presentational, framing device, etc. 

POV Workshop
We will look at a song worthy situation, and students will be tasked with writing about it from various points of view, with an emphasis on narrative, stakes, and specifics.
