NEW WORKSHOP CLASSES COMING SOON

REGISTRATION BEGINS NOVEMBER 15th for the following NEW workshop classes:

PROMPT CLASS LEVEL 2

We will continue in-class writing to prompts contained in my workbook “Fifty Two Lyrics By You”.  Prompts will cover all aspects of lyric work and character building. 

 WRITING MORE FUNNY SONGS

I have prepared another ten week curriculum, which can be also be bought as a five-pak.  I’ll be taking new student enrollments beginning November 15th. 

BREAKFAST WRITE TBD

Because I have students in multiple time zones, the concept of a “Breakfast Write” is a bit complicated.  But if interested in a morning write, let me know and we will customize something around interested students. 

 FOUR WEEKS OF FORM

There will be a four week form session workshop, during which we will break down song forms and you will have to rewrite lyrics to syllabic and metric restrictions.  

 OPENING NUMBER BOOTCAMP  

We will all work on opening numbers for the same musical prompt, covering different types such as large company, presentational, framing device, etc. 

 SONGSPOTTING  (TWO WEEKS)

We will discuss classic stories or events that could be musicalized, prepare outlines with possible song titles, and return the following week to present a musical pitch to the class.
